Identifying Cloud Types – Matching/Flashcards: 5th – 6th Grade
- Activity 1: Identifying clouds outside
- Target grades: 3rd-4th, 5th-6th
- Teaching objective/expected knowledge outcome: Students will be able to use information from their coloring sheet to help identify clouds outside.
- Instructions on how to conduct an activity
- Materials:
- Cloud worksheets (1 per student or per small group of students)
- Directions:
- On a weather-safe day (not raining or storming!), take students outside and have them identify what clouds are in the sky based on the examples given in class.
- Supplemental material (this will depend on the activity)
- How to assess knowledge learned
- Students will demonstrate learned knowledge as they are able to identify cloud types outside. This activity could be repeated over numerous days with different cloud types present.
